MK1 Seating & Seatbelts

Post by WildChild »

My MK1 only has seatbelts in the front, and not in the rear seats, i would like to firstly install seatbelts into the rear seats and also change either the seat covers or the seats entirely themselves..

Can anyone provide some info on this?

seat belts i can help you with....you can just buy them off someone and fit them it, they are literally one bolt per set for the actual locking tings, and the seatbelt and moter just screws in aswel, just need to find a placement...just so happenes im selling my whole set for the back for £20 plus p and p.....PERFECT condition nd its black

What colour and fabric are your seat covers? If they are the same as these

then I'll buy your covers off you!

the mk2 seat belts are different to that just so you know....they have the retracting mechanisms in the boot  so tupac's belts probably won't be a straight swap, should be mod-able though

Think you've mis understood mate :)

I want to add seatbelts to the back of my car and NornIron already has seatbelts in his car, he was just posting picture asking if my seats were the same..

If you're only planning on two back seat passengers (my guess is it would be a squeeze for three  ), I wouldn't bother with the centre lap belt.

They come up on eBay from time to time, otherwise drop Steve (86C) a PM...he may have some Mk1 items...

Re the seat covers, let me know when you're ready to sell, we won't fall out on the price 8)

i knew that, i'm saying the seatbelts from tupac's mk2 won't be a simple attatch to the same holes etc....you'll need to probably drill holes into your mk1 and then bolt on tupac's belts  which is fine as long as you don't mind the work
