make sure you get plenty of lessons in, cuz once the instructor isnt there to batter all the newbie bad habits out of you, they're stuck for life :)

do the pass plus as well, it may be an education that'll save your life in some situations

and make sure you get practice away from your instructor as much as you can.
i frequently went out with my dad in my first car (B-reg rusty Fiesta :P) and it helped mepass in under 5 months.
