Ebay Account Hacked

Post by mysteryboy »

I think my ebay account just got hacked into. I received a number of emails which were sent from my username about some sort of camera at a special price which made me a little suspicious. So I thought hmmm thats some dodgy sh!t so changed my password... and now started receiving emails from other members asking for pictures, more details etc...
I think my account is safe now, or is it? I think I managed to change the password in time.. :?
What a little b!tch ass looser gay neardy spotty four eyed geak...!!

Pointless thread..../moan over.

Anyone else had their accounts hacked into?

Yeah, I second that you dont want any comeback at a later date...esp from a disgrunted buyer...

I've had some of those just forward them to [email protected] (i think) or delete them. Your account should be ok just never use any of the links in the emails, they're generally to fake ebay sites.

i got an ebay email saying that they needed to confirm some details.
then you click a link and it took you to the ebay log in page, your password would always come up as wrong the 1st time, then the 2nd time, no matter what u typed in it would work.
then the 1st thing they ask you for is credit card number!! F*CK OFF!.
looked more closely at the log in page in comparison to a real 1 and there were a few things that were different, missing links etc,

Yeah I get loads of spoof email... I never fall for that type pf stuff. I've never had anything hacked into and this guy must've got my password some way and just emailed loads of people offering some products. Luckily I was online and spotted it and changed the password before he could do anything.
These people need a life....

no, you recognise the spoof email by the way it asks you to confirm details such as your password

ebay (or any other online service) isn't your local council, they haven't got your address in some big dusty card file they occasionally have to check hasn't gone wildly out of date.....

Just checked my emails had one from ebay (so called) that asked for my details, not daft enough to fall for that one. :!:
you have to be careful as to what you are entering ya details into.
why are people so bloody vendictive :x
They havent got anything better to do i suppose than to cause people grief.
