coolant fan problems

hi all just wondering if any one can check if their polo the same, Just the other day on the way to work, stopped and switch off and the rad fan was running on but the car wasnt that hot, so after work went back to it turn the ignition on then off without the engine running and the fan started running dont think this is right, think the fan switch is playing up, does any one not where it is, cheers :)

Im not entirely sure but ive noticed on mine that if the ignition is on then the fan always comes on, but only spins at a slow speed

If the a/c pump is running the cooling fan is constantly on. So for example if your climatronic is set to "auto" at 18°C then it could come on for a bit.

I ususally always have the climatronic set to econ so it doesn't put the ac pump on when Its not needed (petrol is 96p/litre and thats the normal stuff!)

Last time I filled mine up (was about a week ago) I was paying 103.? a litre, that's for BP Ultimate!
