Is there a way to unlock a Anti theft lock for a VW Beta radio, just bought a VW CD player build it in and i needed to disconnect the power, now my Beta radio is locked. In my Radio Sytem Beta operation Instructions there is a little Radio Card with the code to unlock the radio. As you can guess this code doesnt work and now the Radio is locked for an hour. Called already the dealer but they cant fix it now, have to make an appointment first and i will need to take hours of from work.
Does any one knows a quicker way!

Not sure why you had to disconnect the power to the radio to fit a cd player?iirc its just one lead from the back of the cd player into the radio
Anyway, if your Beta headunit is the original one for the car, it should automatically re-code itself to the ecu on the car if left turned on for a while. If not then it will need to go tot he dealership to be re-coded.

You are right, but what happened is that I disconnected all the connectors on the back of the Radio (bought the CD player from a member of this forum but with out a manual) placed the radio and the cd player and suddenly it starts showing "SAFE" I checked the Radio manual and there it said to enter your code did that twice and "2 SAFE" was showing up in the display!. All this happened without starting the car, as soon as it started the car it showed "LEARNING" and all was working. Any way thanx for your reply.
