Door strips (don't know what to call them)..

I don't have the nice door strips, you know the glossy type finished ones at the edge kinda like glass? I have like a dull matt type finish to them. Gets finger marks and all sorts.

Can I order these straight from VW?

A local paint shop should be able to colour code these for you. what colour is your car and i'll find the code for you

Cheers Karl but it's not the paint, they look like glass, kinda see through, if that makes sense..?

That's something else they must have stopped doing on the later model...grrr

Painting them would cost more than buying from dealer!

I was going to get these for my car but decided not to spend the money at the moment (its all going on GT now

).

If I remember rightly the price was around Â£35-40 for both. Martyn at VAG Parts might do a better price.

My July03 3 door has the matt finish. Much prefer the gloss finish too but I was told by the saleman they were only fitted to the five door?

Nah, I definitely know 3 doors have them (or had them), they finish the car so much nicer. I'm going to find out from VW

You can definately get them on a 3 door - I have them on my car as standard. Seems VW are always adding something like the leather pack and CD changer then ripping out other parts to compensate for the supposed upgraded spec.

Erm..........No. They were standard on 02-03 Sport models and are now only standard on SE models.
