Best route for fitting a sub?

i always put a bit of grease on the power cable when taking it through a rubber grommet, just stops it gripping and makes it slide through realy easily!

I know you've already solved the power cable routing problem but thought I'd offer my thoughts. On my vehicle I've ran a 0AWG Power supply down the trunking that runs underneath the Polo GTI (it usually houses brake lines and water tube for your rear washer! This route has one clip space free all the way along where you can fix it to then drill through your boot floor pan above the level of the spare wheel and route the bad boy through to a distribution block where you have power on tap and as much as a heavy duty battery can give! If i get clever I'll post some piccys of how and where these are routed.

Pretty sure the rear washer water pipe runs through the car instead of under it.

Yeah actually I think you might be right on that one ModifiedMadness! (I think it's probably the fuel line?)
