GT > Mk1 Transplant

Post by Oli »

Hi. Does anyone have any idea who can do a engine transplant in the Sussex area. Company or one man private, I don't mind, as long as they are competant! PSD are a bit busy at the moment, otherwise I would obviously go with them.

How much will PSD charge you for that?

Are you declaring it on the insurance?

You using the standard mk1 gearbox? If you are, and just doing a straight transplant, im sure a normal garage would quote you to do it - no need to a specialists

No. GT Box also. I have a whole donor car ready. I'm going to check local garages tomorrow. But my fuel gauge doesn't work, so the dashboard may need taking apart. And I don't want any old knob head doing that.
