As above really, my gti now sits around 80mm thanks to some very hard h&r coilovers!
Sometimes when corning hard or hitting a bump I get a knocking noise? Any idea what that could be?
Maybe guys with drops around 80mm could post problems they’ve had?
I previously had 50mm spring and never had any probs, except for the spring moving sometimes (It did stop after a few times, guess it wasn’t sitting right at the base?)

It might be that your lower than 80mm and its hitting on the driveshaft?? might need to fine adjust the height by about 3 turns up on the damper!!
Also top mounts can make a knocking sound when they start to go?
Mines 75mm down on H&R and i dont find them hard at all really i think they are spot on!! plus i some times get knocking on full lock but i just turn the helper spring round and problem solved!!

i bet its the front anti-roll bar hitting the chassis!!
my polo did this too!
if u look under the car just in behind the front wheel where the anti-roll bar D bushes are then u may see a small dent in the chassis just above the bar!
the dent will be about half the size of a green pea! lol
if u raise the car a wee bit then u will only hear it on harder bumps!

when mine was sittin between 75-80 mm i never had no probs wit my driveshafts at all.no knockin of any sort.only problem i had was the sump sits pretty low n just be careful of the pot holes.buggers had me twice! the knockin you hear on full lock is the spring twanging as it moves.its a charecteristic of the coilover kit on the polo 6n2 set up! but id strongly advise you check your camber allignment because it will make a big difference.
