this is the MK3 set up (or atleast this is what i'm guessing its like?)

pretty self explanatory really
now this is steve-o's uprated version...

he's added in two relay boxes, so the trigger feed goes to it's own dedicated relay, then sends it to the lamps. i understand this part too unless someone wants to point out something i've missed.
problem comes because my mk2 lights have a seperate lamp for the dipped and full beam, this is the way the orignal lights are set up on mine...

i don't really know what that connecting box thing does in the middle of the wires, just like two of the boxes like on the end (i'm guessing it's just a easy way for vw to adjust to my kind of lights, just by adding in the 1 bit of wiring?) anyway the wires go into the dipped beam and then every wire is split and goes over to the main beam.
now this is what i'm guessing my uprated system should look like...

so the power goes to the relays, then the individual main and dipped go to their dedicated relays...and then the power goes from each relay to it's respective lamp?
is this the correct set up? do i need to include that connector box from the original set-up? i'm a bit worried as in the original set-up each lamp obviously has 3 wires, earth, feed, and power, so does the relay replace the need for the feed and the power just becomes the trigger?
i'm also a bit confused about the feed, does this handle both the high and low beam? or is it 2 individual wires as i couldn't see 2 seperate wires???
if anyones still awake i could really use some advice as i'm utterly useless at electrics, i honestly don't know why i attempted this????
