Gearbox ratio's

Well i've managed to split my gearbox housing now so it's off for another refurbed box (3rd in 5 months!). The first box had completely the wrong ratio's but the one i've just broken apparently was correct but I was never 100% convinced about that so i've asked VW for the correct ratio's and gonna have the gearbox people make sure it's right. Anyway I thought would stick the correct ratio's (according to VW) on here as I know people (me for one) have asked in the past;

final Drive: 54.15 = 3.600
gear 1: 38.11 = 3.455
gear 2: 36.17 = 2.118
gear 3: 36.25 = 1.440
gear 4: 37.34 = 1.088
gear 5: 33.37 = 0.892

reverse: 44.13 = 3.384

speedo drive: 12.20 = 0.600

When does the rev limiter kick in on the GTi?

I put in 6500rpm in 5th for the GTi and that gave 131mph which sounded about right for V-Max?

ragging the harris out of it on a regular basis may be part of the problem
