Is the GTi twin cam!?

Post by popeye »

HI all just a quick one i know the polo GTi is DOHC but is it twin cam?

Also guys just noticed that when i brake really slowly and the cars hardly moving i can hear the sound of the pads rubbing againt the discs is this normal? the pads are hardly worn and theres no pits in the discs from grit or anything. Wondered if any of you guys hear the same thing!?

Yeah I get the same sound from the brakes and my parents do too in their Bora. Its a VAG thing I think!

Definition: Double Overhead Camshaft: a DOHC engine has two camshafts in each cylinder head; one camshaft operates the intake valves, the other actuates the exhaust valves.

I did search for Direct OverHead Cam and it only bought up things about Double Overhead Cams so I'd have said that's all it stands for.
