I had to go on quite a treck for this one, due to the low milage (39k) and 1 owner with AUDI FSH, got it quite cheap but i wont say how much due to resell etc ;)

As for pointers, i duno what to suggest mate, i know nothing about A3's and have not found any decent forums as of yet!

Phil, try www.tyresmoke.net (aka TSN). It used to be an Audi owners forum before being opened up to more marques, and there are still a vast majority of Audi owners active on the forums. No need to register to browse though mate if thats all you need ;)

Na, thats cool. Id love one of you lot to buy an A3, means i have someone to talk about them with!

Im having to work out everything on my own. Which is kind of gay, but cool because im making it my style and not copied.

Just thought I'd add there's an S3 coming out later this year as well, and if the 3.2 quattro is anything to go by with 250bhp then surely the new S3 will have more?

Having seen the polo i am sure the A3 will turn out good! Been looking at diesel A6's too, was thinking of slamming one on 20's!

I spent a while looking at A3's before getting the GTi.

Gave up as I couldn't afford to insure the 1.8T, or find a decent 1.8 (naturally aspirated) Sport.

All i can say is, the 1.8T engine is a f*****g peach!

The new S3 has a 3.2T engine, shud be good for way over 265bhp. With a remap it would probs be arround 325bhp.

Thats a serious car. :D

I just looked on http://www.channel4.com/4car/future-models/2006.html and it says
Audi S3
On sale at the end of the year, available in three-door form only, with the same 2.0-litre TFSI turbocharged engine as the Golf GTI, albeit boosted to 272bhp. Four-wheel drive, of course, though the VW Haldex system rather than the quattro layout.
Few spy pics http://www.channel4.com/4car/gallery/sp ... jan06.html

Seems like no-one knows what's happening with it though.
The new S3 will probably be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September.

It will come in three-door form only, but there according to our photos there will be a few subtle styling modifications such as a chrome grille.

Originally it was expected that the S3 will get the VW group's 3.2-litre V6 with a power output of more than 220kW.

However, now it seems more likely to get 2.0 TFSI engine, which is said to kick out 200 kW. The new S3 also comes with Audi's quattro all wheel drive system.

Whatever engine it gets, should be good for over 250bhp, which will be a beast!

I'll second that!

I was speaking to a bloke at Audi yesterday about the RS4, said he had one for a day but wouldn't want it anymore than that because you'd end up losing your licence.

He said it's just too fast

Like i said a few weeks ago, i was doing 125 down the A1 at 2am and a RS4 went past me, before i could make out the registration he was gone, must have been doing a good 160/170 because he left me like i was going the other way!

Nice, all I know is if I had £55,000 I'd get myself a brand new one spec'd to how I wanted it 8)
