Screen wash leaking problem

Post by Dan_Gti »

Hey everyone. I have a problem with one of my screen wash resevoirs (there seems to be another one inside the car panel near the side indicator) Basically I drove home and turned off the engine, I started to hear a pressure noise and noticed my screen wash was gushing onto the floor
I have taken out the screen wash resevoir that you can see near the battery and there are no leaks, the screen pump seems to fit fine.
I fitted it back together again and noticed it was dripping again, but it stopped after a couple of minutes. The issue seems to lie with the second resevoir, has anyone had this problem before?
How easy is it to get to the second resevoir?

I had a problem with a leak coming from the front end....... I didn't think there was another reservoir in the wing. Mine turned out to be a leak on the piping going to the headlight washers....... It only used to occur after i had used the headlight washers and would stop if used the rear washer or just the windscreen washers after washing the headlights!!!!! The dealer sorted it at a service so not sure exactly what it was but it may help ya.

Cheers

Dave.
