i was thinkin bout puttin a gt lump in my mk3 polo i can get the engine, gearbox, loom, ecu and all the pipes and that but was wonderin if its a simple swap for a 1043cc engine and how much work is needed. any help would be coool

Should be easier than what I'm currently doing.
Assuming you've got a reasonable amount of expereince with a set of spanners, and someone to help you, it shouldn't take more than a weekend.
Basically speaking, the easiest way to go about it is to drop the engine, box and front suspension as a lump. Take the driveshafts off the donor engine and box, lift it in, fasten it in place, then add the front suspension.
There's nothing to worry about really on the fuel side, as the Mk3 pump is common across the range IIRC. The GT has no real vacuum system to worry about. The gear linkage should be the same, and the wiring is pretty much a self-contained loom.
