This is what happens when women try to cut accross you to park up on a roundabout... yes she saw her friend and tried to park up on the roundabout crossing 2 lanes without looking in the process!!!

However there is good news:

I get the Polo back next week but the crash meant I had to buy my new project a little sooner than planned... a 1.8 twin 40 carbed Mk1 Golf with high lift cam, 4 branch manifold and straight through exhaust

What are them rear lights on your Polo?

I'm liking the Golf, I might see about getting one next year with the intention of getting a 1.8T lump put in it at some point.

Your car was looking sweet until i got to the bottom pics!! Glad it's getting sorted, did you sell the rh's in the end? I know a few guys on demonvw called first dibs.....

Those rear lights were mine before i sold them, there clear leds that have been sprayed, as i said before they look much nicer against the black.

Nice little project!

How many names have you got?

Yes as ^ said, they're inpro clear lights sprayed red and I like the look of them against the black.

Still not sold the RH's yet but the amount of work ive been doing recently (13 of last 15 days!!!) Ive not finished re-refurbing them, they are all sanded down ready for the polishing, expect the for sale soon cos the wedding is getting closer and the wife-to-be wants to get rid of all the stuff in the spare bedroom.

Get the car back on Friday with a whole standard looking front end again with non-painted splitter etc  so I will have to start out all over again

JT, did you get to keep any of the old parts from the wrecked front bumper? I need a new pair of front foglights...

Good to hear you've got her back and in one piece again mate, even if it is standard :)

Yes mate, I bought them from German Ebay as 'RH Classiks' and polished them up myself. They still do the Topline A but they look different now for some reason (not as good) and they only do them in painted silver:

Delivered to my doorstep at 0915 this morning:

And together at last with my new Golf:

Im happy with it, the spoiler scrapped when getting off the trailer but that made me smile rather than mad.

They painted the spoiler which is good cos normally they are not colour coded, they must have just copied my old bumper.

Also they fixed the problem I had with my headlamp washers prior to he crash aswell.

Just need to get a new black VW badge, German plate and the GTI anniversary badge on the front again.
