FK Budget coilover kits for 6n - worth the moolah?
FK Budget coilover kits for 6n - worth the moolah?
ive been looking at all the options to slam my mk4 and have decided that coilovers are my only choice.
i want to go low, both in ride height and price.
i saw an ad for FK and was put off by the £600+ pricetag, but noticed that they offer 'budget' sets for £400.
are they this cheap because they're height adjustable only? or are they just turd?
ive only got about £900 quid to spend, £500 of that is towards a set of 15's so i'll have just enought to get these coilovers.
anyone got any comments on these ?
thanks alot

It's pretty easy actually -
I'm slow as a snail (old, bad joints, etc.) and it takes me about an hour and a half all round.
The routine (for me at least) is like this:
Drive the car up some wooden boards. Jack it up, place axle stand. Remove wheel, clean coilover. Lube if needed.
Twist the seat spring into new position using the hook tool (bit of a boring job as it takes a while) and refit wheel.
Repeat till satisfied.

seriously though. ring Ray @ Rayvern Hydralics. the kit is £450 inc vat. and fitting £500. apparently if you can fit suspension and brake hoses the jobs not to difficult. i still wouldnt like to tackle it though
see, you know it makes sense.
thanks.
i emailed ray yesterday for info. im looking at about £840 for the independent front and rear bags with £500 fitting.
and id have to get to the other end of the country to get it done
!
hopefully i can find someone up here to do it.
they are indeed the coolest thing to happen to the"scene"
how come the UK is always the last to catch on to all this stuff? i never saw anyone with chrome spinners until i read fastcar a few months ago
