whats the score with the BMC CDA not being road legal?

just slightly concering dont u think whats the reason for this? just worried it could be an issue if you have a smash as i know what insurance companys are like they will try to get out o paying!

Apparently it is not lega; to have have the crank case vent to the air. It should be recycled.

Right, your biggest concern with the insurance company would be not telling them you fitted a BMC.

As noted, venting the crankcase breather directly will result in an MOT failure. So all you need is a crankcase breather filter, avaliable from all good motor accessory shops (even Halfords).

I've had my GTi MOT'd whilst fitted with a BMC, and it passed without any problems.

I think its says not for Highway use on it. Which im guessing is a warning for the American market.

your car will pass an MOT with a BMC as long as you have the breather filter. Insurance companies will not pay out on a claim if you have a BMC unless its declared, like all other mods. You dont need to declare what type of induction kit it is, just declare that you have an indcution kit
