Most Petrol

Why are some people getting only 275 and 'well into the red' and some getting 300 or more miles before the light comes on? What petrol is every one using and what mileage is acceptable?

Sorry if i am being stupid... Not sure if my gti is drinking the petrol or not......

It's all dependant on driving style etc, none will ever get the same really.

So long as you're not getting stupidly low mileage out of a tank it should be fine.

Before i fitted my BMC i would get bang on 300miles before the light came on almost everytime (not driving slowly, mostly town driving).

Curiously, i seem to be getting more miles to the tank after the BMC?!
