Fault code: 17927 - VVT Intermittant Malfunction Bank 1
Autodata diagnosis: Camshaft position (CMP) Control B.1; possible causes: Cylinder head oil pressure too low, CMP Actuator Sticking/defective
Help needed to diagnose a bad splutter a low end (up to about 3k rpm). I've changed plugs, new panel air filter (K&N), new cam shaft position sensor, VW have checked Lambda sensor and it's fine, said throttle body needs a clean but not what the problem could be? Getting some oil through the breather pipe (back pressure???). Puzzled as to what it could be and would love to find the fault! I don't fancy paying VW any more money to find something they can't even identify!
U know a good tuning co in Newcastle or Farnborough area?

Areet mate, if you're getting oil back into your breather, then it is likely that the crankcase breather (round metal part that presses into the block) is probably blocked.RACINGGTI wrote:Getting some oil through the breather pipe (back pressure???).
You might find that it could fail the MOT on emissions.
