Pump me up...

Post by beautyfiend »

Hey,
I've got a really annoying problem- my two front tyres keep going down (also one of the back ones does it but not as much). I have to pump the tyres up everytime I want to use the car, which is a nightmare!
I can park the car on Saturday afternoon and come to use it Sunday morning and the two front tyres will be totally flat. :(

I think it's probably the alloys, they are pretty badly kerbed etc..On the tyre that doesn't go down the alloy is not damaged at all.
Could it be anything else???

So, basically what I want to know is how much a new set of alloys is gonna set me back...Either 13" or 14"- I'd prefer VW ones but whatever as long as I don't have to pump the tyres up!

I'm gonna see somebody about it soon but just thought I'd try you guys out first.

sounds like a bad seal between the tyre and the rim, nip down a tyre fitter and ask them to check it, they sorted mine out for me no probs :D

Well I've been to my local tyre and alloy garage and they took the tyres off and found the alloys were corroding.
They've been sent off for refurbishment (£200 for all four) and I should get them back next Tuesday...Hopefully that'll mean no more pumping for me YAY! 8)
