High powered cars

Post by neilw »

Why is it you hardly ever see owners of quick cars giving them some welly. I can't help myself at the lights, if im at the front I'm think "i'm just going to drive away sensibley" but as soon aas the lights go green i cant help myself floor it.

Main contenders are

Audi TT 3.2's
Boxsters
M3's
Civic Type R's

Anybody think of anythling others

He he, I know what you mean. 8)

Is is wrong of me when I'm waiting at some lights on my own I am just willing some Barry Boy in his Chaved up Saxo to come up next to me, just so I can whoop his ass off from the lights and show him why he should of bought a proper car

I had the GTi two years, and only been lined up for too good races, a Viper striped up'd focus and a astra coupe, I'd herd him wheel spinning in 2nd as i went past him

Then the day my car goes into the garage and I'm borrowing my dads Morris Minor, I get lined up next to a chav'd up saxo. That annoyied me so much.

I think drivers respect a car more when it has Proper power, there's no need to thrash your car to just prove a point to someone when you know what the outcome would be.

Of course some of the people with these cars probably just buy them to pose in, but most people don't feel the need to speed off at lights as they're probably more grown up than that, they just can't be bothered

^ what prash just said ^.... they know they can beat you so they dont bother proving the obvious....

I like up next to an evo just about 1hr ago.... as soon as I saw it was an evo i thought oh fook im not going in front of this guy... the guy pulled away so slowly (a granny on a bike pulls of faster) so I thought nah mate I dont want your charity hahaha and just stood still letting him go and went behind him
Funnily enough we both ended up going to the same place in the end...

I like taking out Chavs in my 1.4, never mind a GTI  That's of course if they have a 1.4 or less made to look like a 6.0 twin turbo!

Ah I didnt mean like trying to race stuff that will blantently go faster, I kinda ment it like you dont see then give them some stick for the fun of it. There probably being sensible/careful and or poseing.

Saw a yellow lambo this morning, He couldnt go fast though as he was in traffic :)

Generally speaking, by the time you've got a car with that amount of power, you've had a few experiences in life that have taught you when to use it and when not to.

Whilst my car isn't seriously powerful, it's still enough to see off most small hatchbacks with blue leds on. I know that, I don't need to prove it.

Personally, I'd rather have a retarded boy racer driving in front of me than behind me. If someone does something stupid in front of me, I can deal with it, if they go ploughing in the back of me, it's a different story.

from experience, if you have a car with 260+ bhp you thrash it when no one is looking.

THAT's why someone with one of those cars will not bother.

apart from the type-r . not really a high powered car though,
:D

I only arse my cars when either:

I'm pissed off and need to get somewhere fast
Some chav needs teaching a lesson

Other than that, it's just not worth risking my licence or pride & joy in this day and age.

was funny the other night i met up with some mates from school. and one of them has a barryed up saxo.

shoddy center exit zorst devil wing spoiler. s**t body kit the works. and its "chipped" ( risistor from ebay) tryied explaining how it fucks the engine but they were like no its gotta be true else they cant sell em.

anyways heres me in my baby polo mk4 1.4L with 60bhp following him down lanes to the pub were meeting a few people at. he gives it some wells and is hitting the limiter each shift i didnt even need full throttle to keep up with him and he called me a pussy for letting off and brakeing properly to turn into the pub as he was still accelerating till abotu 100yards before the turning. i had clocked 80 and slowed down to turn in and he just screetches in and rips his side skirt off.

oh well s**t happenes.
