does anyone know how easy/hard it is to put the recaros out of the mk 4 golf gti into the polo gti ?

Its pretty hard but they will go in, I trial fitted the rears and found they were about 1-2 inches too wide and you need to remove the bracket you can see in the boot and weld a mk4 item a feww inches further away, also you need the catches from the mk4.

Fronts are easier but still a bit of work, the runners need moving in closer together and a 'L' shape bracket needs welding at the front of the seats on to the floor.

Ive had my Recaros for over a year and Ive still not fitted them yet.

MJ Interiors quoted me approx. £150 to have them fitted though, just waiting for a week when he's free. Sound worth it for the work involved.

EDIT: Speedlaw sent me a how 2 guide in german, if you can translate it I will forward to you?

cheers, if the front are easier i was think i could keep the rear seats from the polo but have them retrimed along with the recaro to match! although that would problam cost a fair bit!

how much did u pay for ur set of recaros?
