automatic down electric windows stopped

Post by olop_chris »

My windows arent going down themselves at the moment as they're supposed to. Does anyone know what this could be for me to sort it out?

Obviously they still work but i have to hold it, which is a pain lol. Any help appreciated :)

Little bit of a search through old posts, et voila:
JWC wrote:Hi,
Just a sperate thread for the 6n2 (mk5). Turn ignition on, wind window down to the bottom and HOLD for about 10 seconds or until you hear a relay click, then it will work as normal.

I am not sure why mine lost the one touch thing, but I was sitting by a reservoir reading a book and got cold and wound the window up a bit and the ignition might have been on or off, or something, anyway, it confused it.

Works fine now.
Good old JWC! :D

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers

Just been out and tried it, well i sat there for ages lol. but had half a success when my passenger window went up and down on its own but my drivers side didn't.

Then my drivers side window didnt work at all when it was fully down!! and thats when i s**t myself lol. but then it eventually worked.

Cheers for the search Si, i should really start using it lol
