silver paintwork doesn't show the dirt as much as black or red paintwork.

The cabin will also be slightly cooler in this weather, as silver reflects the suns rays, as opposed to black, which attracts it.

A good price IMO for that mileage/spec.

I have a silver one and they really do still look clean when they're dirty if that makes sense, plus stone chips dont show up as easily.

Granted black does look nicer when it's clean, but unless your gonna keep a bucket of water, sponge etc in the boot, black will always appear dirty in much less time.

Good luck either way 8)

Cheers mate 8)

Two VAG colours I love are Reflex Silver and the R32 Blue.

As for Silver being cool in this weather, I wouldn't bank on it, inside the car is boiling after being sat in the sun all day.

I mean the final decision is up to you but I'd have it :D

I have a Silver one but I will try be as objective as I can.

Pros:

Stonechips dont show up as bad

Popular Colour so shouldn't be a sticking point on selling

Metallic, when it catches the sun a silver car looks really nice.

Hides dirt.

Cons:

Stonechips are much harder to repair, mainly due to the fact its metallic and getting the metallic bits in the paint to be uniform is impossible

Doesn't reflect as well as darker colours so it won't be as glossy.

Bit common.

If you have found a good GTi then you should comprimse on colour, they are so rare now and as they age one in good nick is harder to find.

Go for it! You can't argue over colour with that low mileage and leather interior. All the colours look great.

I'd like to have two more in silver and red!

Another shiny silver example :D

*harder* to get it looking shiny, compared to red or black - but still possible. If everything else is right, buy it!
