Dead flies

Post by 99 »

Hello

I've had a look around and I couldn't see an answer to this (apologies if I've missed it), but what's the best way of getting dead flies off paintwork?

Thanks

Whatever you do, dont buy the Meguiars one - it's usless!!!

Go for 1Z Anti-Insekt http://www.1z-usa.com/sys-tmpl/precleaners/

Can be brought in the UK too.

Poorboys bug squash is superb - spray on, pressure wash off - all bugs gone.

Can be bought off Ebay

dont use bug/tar remover from turtle wax, its a strong cutting compound.
i was not amused on my previous car.

best way is too soak them with water/soap (a TFR is good if you can get any) then blast it off with a pressure washer.
valeting cars over summer puts me off cleaning my own though, its a nice shade of bugsplat yellow and dusty brown, with a hint of fjord blue :D

not knocking turtlewax btw, great shampoo, crappy bug remover!
*on another note, use autoglym or autosmarts tar remover. doesnt hurt paint and it comes off like water!

The best and cheapest way to remove them besides hard scrubbing wi soapy water is coca cola its the best and least harmful to the paintwork.
Trust me it works gets rid of tar too.
