engine overheating due to air filter

Post by towler 96 »

First of all hi.

just joined, only got car 3 weeks ago, wanted one for ages but never found one for sale. MAGIC
any ideas what is wrong?? :(
Anybody had the same problem
phoned pipercross and they informed me that i would need to disconnect battery to reset ecu. failing that i would need to get ecu re-mapped.
I think it is just the position of it, right above the inlet manifold!!!!

You mean the engine is suffering due to heat soak through the open cone filter ?

Either put a standard airbox back on, or buy a sealed cold air unit such as a BMC or pipercross viper

personally id go back to standard, you dont really gain anything from an induction kit apart from boy racer noise
