I dont suppose if anyone knows whether any mk4 key can open any mk4 glovebox ?
Some derbyshire/mancunian scallys broke into my car on the snake pass and ragged the s**t outta my glove box.
(and stole my sunglasses and my cd changer - s**t I hope they enjoy my punk and emb/idm cds lol but they left my ntrance and scooter cds... why? lol)
(oh and they where driving a red polo too......)

nope you will need to order a new glovebox from Vw dealer and they order the new box with the coded key barrel built it
you will need to pass your chassis number to them aswell as they will need to order it to your car details Vw has on a database.

dont bother with it, go to the scrappy and get a new glove box lid off a MK2 Ibiza or MK4 Polo and just dont lock it, if someone wants to break into your car they'll only smash it again. So get one thats unlocked and you wont need the key for it.

will phone a vw dealer and see
probably will do the scrappy route
the lock itself is intact so i might try and get clever and swap the locks or summin
