BBS RX - what to do?

Post by Mouse_GTI »

Right, my wheels...1 is fine, 3 are corroded (inc. one that is too badly curbed to be refurbed). I'm wanting to get them powdercoated so I'm wondering what is the cheapest option and best for the long term upkeep of the wheels?

- Buy 1 new 15" and refurb the other 3, then get them powdercoated
- Buy a new set of 15"/16" RX's, then get them powdercoated

How much is it to get them powdercoated as a rough estimation?

...or you could get a set of Rondell 058 for about £320. When i put them on mine they looked so much better. They keep the standard look but are a bit wider so the car seemed to sit better. Sold my originals for a decent price as well.

Here's a link to a couple of pics

By new do you mean second hand, it's just that for a new set of the standard wheels you're looking at I think somewhere between £1200 - £1600

If you want to keep the BBS, you're best option would be to try and find 1 wheel kicking about on e-bay or something.
