When the car is not driven all day.. and then started in the evening, it just doesnt seem to start, i then have to get the jump leads out.
Its really strange as i have changed by battery due to this same fault.
Anybody had the same problem??

process of ellimination
1st. change sparkplugs
2nd. change HT leads
3rd change your distribution block
4th change your ignition coil
5th alternator/starter motor
Look at all your service reciepts first tho (see what HAS been recently changed) Dont go changing parts that are recently new BUT CHECK THE SPARK PLUGS ARNT CORRODED AND THE GAPS ARE RIGHT, spray some WD40 on your lead connections because there could be moisture in there if the car is not driven regular
And give it a good check over first to spot any obvious damage/wear to the above parts, if you find a problem then you can be pretty sure youve found the fault

i just checked my amp after i turned the car off, the amp light is on...must have been wired incorrectly, dont suppose you know how i can fix this too
Yes mate
There should be a thin blue wire from your HU (P-cont output) to your Amp, this is called a P-cont lead it sends the switch ON/OFF signal to your Amp.
Also your HU should be wired up using ISO adaptors (plug straight in), if it's all been cut off and wired together with bullet connectors there could be a problem with the connection to your ignition switch (But unless the fitter was a complete muppet, you should have ISO adaptors in there)
