Car starting to look tatty around the edges
My cars starting to look tatty around the ages so I'm starting on my plan to sort it out. I Hovered it out and cleaned the outside. Washed and dusted the dash. Then I decided it would be good to clean those hard to reach places that you never bother cleening so i cleaned and degreased in and around the door hinges, around the boot hatch and the underside of the bonet.
Getting there! At the weekend me and my dad are welding my broken exaust mount. The next step will be getting new number plates, as there water damaged and replacing one of my front indicators which is cracked, and I need a new wiper blade.
Then the next step will be getting some wax, and sorting my wheels out which are starting to corrode.
Then hopefully she'll be looking as good as new.

I'm looking to change my front indicators for new OEM units (with chrome-look bulbs lol) too as they look tatty! I also have that damned cracked foglightDel_GTi wrote:I did that as well. it just didnt seem to look clean enough after i'd washed it so got stuck in and gutted it.
Even changed both front indicators cos they looked a bit grubby and i couldnt get them clean enough.
Mad i know but......
Like Neil I too changed my numberplates after the rear one got water damage, and the front and rear 'plates didn't match anyway which is never a good thing!
Its all time consuming stuff, but worth it IMO
Top work chaps!
I am also starting to notice the degredation of my motor. I think at the 6 year mark is when things start to go downhill and you gotta keep ontop of it.
Is it possible to replace the glass/plastic on the front lights or do you have to buy all the xenon s**t?
I need to replace the front indicator lenses, steering wheel, refurb wheels, and paint the brake calipers.

I've just finished cleaning under my rear arches. I'd recommend everyone to do it, only take about half hour a side. With a stiff scrubbing brush and some heavy duty cleaner/degreaser and a hose pipe. There was alot of mud up there which can't be good.
Before

After

Will do the fronts when i get time again
I've got my new number plates now too, and if I have some money left over at the end of the month I'll get myself some wax, and an inditcator (cracked)

I've fixxed my broken exaust mount too, me and dad welded it up and made it nice and strong.
