Finesse (sp?) finishings in Aberdeen. The guy showed me some of the wheels he'd done, all of them are amazing quality. I was expected around £40 for refurb then another £30 for powdercoating per wheel. Only trouble is, I have to take the tyres off and split the rims myself, which is a pain. 4 days to get it done, but it will be worth it :D

£40. That sounds reasonable.

I went down to my local powder coaters and sand blasters to get a quote this morning!

£5 per centre to sandblast
£30 per centre for powder coating

Then its a matter of taking tyres off and splitting them, then refurbing the rims myself.

Seems a lot of effort aswell a money to bother doing!

I don't know what to do!

Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover does the job in no time 8) then I used a bit of Scratch X because I could still slightly see the POLO

I just used WD40, it took a while though. Just left a slight yellow outline. Backend looks much tidier, I'm well happy with it

Wow they look stunning. They didn't look good on a photoshop, wish I got them!

My wheels are getting done on Tuesday and I'll temporarily be riding on DelG40's 13" BBS badboys from the G!

Managed to snap off the electric mirror control switch today, bummer

Will the 13"s fit around the GTi's 256mm brakes and calipers?
="CymruPolo"]Do the mirrors on the GTi bend in on the outside? (for example if you wanted to park somewhere and were afraid a passing car would clip it) I tried pushing mine in the other day and didn't like to force it 'cause it didn't seem to budge.
Yep, they do fold in, although sadly only by hand, electric folding mirrors would have been an exquisite touch though haha! If they haven't been moved for quite some time they may need just a bit of force to budge, my passenger-side mirror sometimes needs a good thump to get it to tuck in
