Can't wait, the car's on 56k so I'm getting the cambelt done as well.
Just looking forward to getting the bill for it all, I'm expecting somewhere near £800

I've had my service already (interval service so fairly affordable!) but MOT is being done on Monday 21st of this month! £44.75 or something like that, care of the dealership - only possible failure could be the BMC and crankcase breather filter but I'm not expecting a problem...
Sounds like you are going to have large bill, good luck with that!

Mine had its MOT at beginning of month, passed with flying colours thankfully.
and only cost £35.
Shame i had to buy road tax on same day, which wasn't so cheap.
Also due a service this month as well.

Expensive month? Tell me about it!
Service due next week (including 4 wheel alignment and air con service) - £311
Insurance renewal - £325
Plus I need to renew VW Assistance which I keep putting off - £80?? (Can't remember exact)
Leaving a grand total of £716. To be fair though it's not cost much in the last 12 months and I have budgeted for all this.
Incidentally my MOT was £30 and that was at the dealer.
Cheers

I will take the risk and see what happens - I have a chip in my windscreen to sort out too that may or may not fail the car!

Well it's booked for the 18th, the bird reckons I'm looking at just over £700, I'm hoping that's including parts.

I thought the BMC would allow more air in, allowing a better combustion and less emissions?

more air = more fuel at same revs tho if you look at it that way...

Yeah, shouldn't cost me 'out. richG40 had a look yesterday at VWNW and reckons it's not a problem and will pass the MOT regardless!
