I hate wheels

Post by Mouse_GTI »

Well we tried fitting the G40 BBS on my GTI so I could get my rims split tomorrow, but they were too tight. So I've decided to give up altogether on the whole powercoating thing as I can't get a suitable time to do anything. Plus if I get it done, people may not like it when I go on to sell the car.

So basically I'm looking for new wheels. 15" or 16" only, either a set of 16" BBS RX's or any similar styles with black centres, deep dish or non deep dish. I'll probably settle for the new RX's but would like to see if there is anything better first. Any recommendations for cheap online sites? 8)

I did wonder if the G40 BBS would fit around the front brakes!

Sod what people think, mod your car to how you want it to look and when you come to sell, you can always make a swap for standard BBS with a fellow Polo owner!

The 16" RX are really nice but Alun might get upset 'cos after he fitted them up, there is renewed interest in them!

Ideally I'd of loved a set of new RX II's but can't be bothered with the hassle. Just want the car to look good. Black would be nice to tone down some of the silver but I suppose you have to make sacrafises :(

Only had it a few weeks with these on before I had to punt it. :( It had never looked better.

I'd get the RX's because I think they suit the car and personally want to keep the wheels close to the original, so I ain't out to copy people intentionally

I am not usually a fan of tsw wheels, but they really suit the car!

Anyone seen those new tsw rims - look like old a8 alloys, i hope they bring them over here in 4x100 & 16"
