Polo 1.4 16v Sport Advice

Post by jrw »

Hi

Haven't been on here for a while!

My Dad is going to look at a 52 (2003) 1.4 Sport tomorrow with 15k on the clock.

Any advice on what to look out for beside the usual rattles, window regulators, suspension bushes etc?

I used to have the diesel model but wandered if there was anything different on the 1.4.

Cheers in advance

Thats really low mileage!!!!

You've pretty much listed everything that you need to look out for!
I can't think of anything else!

Good luck with everything :)

Ive got a 16v, problems ive had so far, are really slight engine cut outs (all the revs cut out and come back on within a split secound)... its happned twice in the past year or so, mine has about 40.000 miles on the clock, ive been told that it mite just be 'bad fuel' but ive heard storys of a passat cuttiing out and never come back on again doing 70 down the motorway, so it really needs to be looked at!, also the cd player can jam easy if u nock it slightly, if its a 6disc, but thats really the only problems ive ever had,and ive had the car nearly two years..
