New Sachs clutch just fitted

Post by 1 GTI »

Me and my mate just changed my clutch on the polo gti, what a pig of a job. The engine bay is so crampt it's unbelieveable. I won't be doing another clutch on VW's again. All working fine now though. My thrust bearing was causing me trouble. My actual clutch was fine, but changed it all seems the box was off. I advise other people to take it to a garage. Not worth the hassel onless you want to save £££ like me. Gave my mate £80 and payed £90 for Sachs clutch kit, bargain. VW wanted £500 for parts and labour

VW wanted similar money to do my new clutch and clutch cable, I wasn't prepared to pay that kind of silly money though and like you went elsewhere! Had a chap from Stoke VW do it for me for £150 cash in hand after I supplied the parts :)

Made a world of difference, my old clutch was a bit shagged!
