Network+ Course..

Post by Buzby »

I help look after the network hardware side of things on my workplace's computer system (nothing too big), and Ive been asked by my employer if i would like to go on this course.

Has anyone ever done this course, is it a good course, is it worth doing... :?:

Yep its the CompTIA one, I could do the full course including the network+ part, but i think it may be a bit too much to start out with.

I was looking at the course notes and some of it is a bit beyond the scope of my job at the moment, but it doesn't hurt to have some knowledge. :?

This is all very very similar to what I did last year - I went and studied for Cisco Certified Network Apprentice (CCNA), and passed the course. Haven't yet taken the final exam, to say it is daunting is an understatement!

I definitely learnt a good deal about networking from attending the course, it was worth doing even though some of the material covered was a bit beyond my understanding...

Its worth doing a course like this even if just to reinforce the knowledge you already have. I say go for it matey! :D

Cheers

I did the ccna years ago, alot of it has escaped my head now but I do remember it being very good in a factual way !
