I'm thinking about experimenting with a black rear badge with silver in the gaps

That might work yeah, it's just a bit too black at the minute with the badge and backing in black 8)

I got an OEM Black Badge off Ebay. This was before I found out you can split a Mk6 badge up and spray the back reflex silver. So the new black badge is temporary. Not much difference (especially if you disliked it in the first place) but slightly better

Sprayed badge left, OEM right:

You sure? The Mk6 badge had little holes for screws but my Mk5 one didn't

Positive, I've split 3 of them and will be doing a 4th soon 8)

You have to peel the sticky pad off the back and there is 6 bits that poke through the back, they're kind of flared (best way I can think of describing it without a pic) so you have to cut around them so you can get them out of the holes.

It all becomes apparent when you see the back of the badge :D

After many muddled decisions I chose a headunit. Just ordered from Car Audio Direct

Hopefully will get my induction fitted tomorrow. My dad has got some copper pipes for me but is away out so can't do it tonight. Wheels should arrive tomorrow
