it's all a matter of preference. I have a silver one, only because black is a b*tch to keep clean, and i'm not a fan of red (please don't be offended guys - just my opinion).

So long as it is a Gti i think they're all nice 8)

Red one's are faster (joking, lets not start!!)

It's all down to personal preference, I only wanted a red one but that's just me! And to be fair my paint is still very very red, not orange.

There's not a great number of GTi's out there to choose from, so I'd be more concerned about keeping your options open and getting a good one, rather than the colour.

agreed - it's more a case of finding a good car, the colour is just a bonus. I ended up with a red one, my least favouite, but now I love it 8)

I'd say Silver, not just because I have one though, I just think Silver is a great colour with any car (apart from the R32 when Blue is the best)

I do like Black as well though but the main reason I got a Silver one is because I was going to get the Bumpers smoothed and didn't think black would show it up that well.

I'm not a huge fan of the Red in the way that I wouldn't have one, although having seen Moynas car in person I think they look really nice when they're cleaned up, in a nutshell - I like to see really clean ones but wouldn't own one.

Essay over

Red is great if its looked after, as MM says moynas' GTi is a fine example 8)

Silver is possibly the easiest colour to look after, black can be a pain when its wet 'n' 'orrible outside and the the winter weather plasters up the sides and back of the car - looks awful :(

I would agree with what the others have said, find a good example then worry about the colour :)

Cheers

its up to you what you choose, but i look at it this way!!

Red looks awesome WHEN clean (only cos its a flat colour no flake in the paint) Silver looks clean all the time and does suit the car well, Black very good colour but is i think the hardest to keep clean!!

choose wisely or buy a red one and pay me to clean it lol

Black is definately the best colour if you keep it well polished, but i think Red can look just as nice with the right wheels.

Silver is nice, but itll never look as deep and shiney as the other two.

You cant go wrong with any colour TBH, whats more important is the condition of the car, youll regret buying a scruffy one just for the colour.

Yeah i know it can be as shiney, but it doesnt show anywhere near as much as black (black is like a mirror when polished properly 8) )

Wasnt dissing silver, just saying
