What about an Ibiza GTI 2.0 16v?

I have one - 98R, 70k, air con, sunroof, electric windows and mirrors, sports seats, 0-60 in 7.5ish. All it cost me was £900! If you want a boot, Cordoba SXs are pretty much the same car and they're normally less!

eBay's got a fair few going through right now, at this price they're a bargain!

The Lupo has the same problem.
People think the 'S' is a sport.

The Arosa is easier to spot though.
Only the Sport was 16v, the other 1.4 was an 8v engine.

I've been browsing autotrader and the only arosa's I've seen are 1 litres :(

My polo's a 1.0L but tbh I wanted something with a bit more go so you guys are right... think a GTi is the way to go. The lupo GTi seems to be out of my budget though as they push the price up that little bit.

I don't think insurance should be too much of an issue as I'm 23 with 4 years no claims... but i do have 6 points  (yes speeding in a 1litre polo is possible... twice)

Think I'm gonna have to keep trawling through ebay

The golf I've seen is from a friend of my bf, who owns a bodyshop so basically I can get this to order in whichever colour and body mods I want before I get it... very tempting, but is it a step down from a 1998 polo? Hmmmm.....

The other option is that my bf's just selling his (beautiful, smooth, pimped up) corrado so we're thinking of getting a joint car like an Audi S3 and then a little run around for me. Though I know i won't get to drive the S3 very often!!!!!

Polo GTi or Ibiza Cupra, both sensible-ish for insurance, especially the mk2 8v cupra and a 0-60 of 9seconds
