Amp wire to battery

Post by mc_iver_9n »

Also posted in the ICE section but thought it was more relevent here as i have a 9n.

Any1 know the best way to get an amp power line from the battery in the engine bay to the footwell so i can feed it to the amp in the boot. Getting the wire to the boot is easy enough just getting to the engine bay internally is the tricky part.

Any help would be much appriciated

Cheers

Have you done a "search" for this as this has been covered before. Either get it through a gromet located below your ECU where you'll notice other wires going throught the bulkhead (Which you'll see in the passenger foot well).

Alternatively whip your wipers off, remove the tray and feed a wire through the opposite Gromet (opposite to the one where the bonnet release cable is... so in other words the right had side of the engine bay) then rumage around behind the dash trying to find the other end of it. I've done both these options in the passed. The later option being the more effective one for fat cabling i've notice.

Yeah if you search 'getting a 4awg wire to the battery URGENT' you will find a post made by me regarding the same thing back in the day

It has a link to a guide that i found very useful too
