Central Locking Pump
My Central Locking pump has been damaged by water while i was washing the car
, but luckily right after i had washed, i was looking for a cloth which is in place of the first aid box. It was wet so i quickly checked the central locking pump and pulled it out, opened it up and found some green stuff on the circuit board, i tried to clean this all off. Once i had cleaned most of this off i tried it out in the car, It worked! but kept on running for quite a while after it had unlocked the car. Anyone know how i could fix this since it might burn out if it keeps running so i have taken it out for now
if its whining it may well be the motor...........
but if it sounds like air is escaping take the pump out and check the connections-
if you can check the one that controls the petrol cap as it can be a bit flimsy. went on mine recently i just got the soldering iron and melted the connector back into shape!!
if its not there then you'll have to trace the air leak unfortunately!
