Anyone ever had this before?
I was driving home and then noticed the glow plug light was flashing, only about 2 mins from home and after i reversed into my drive the light then went out.
Is it anything to worry about?

i've had this, mine was flashing at me last september time!
it eventually led to the car having a spaccy moment and dying on me!
basically one wire had come loose from the alternator i think and it therefore wasn't charging the battery!
i had been keeping the revs below 2000 to save fuel which had led to my downfall because when the engine is revved, the block moves and this in turn connected the wires causing the alternator to charge the battery.
the battery run until it only had enough power to keep the car running, all the lights went out and central locking unlocked etc!
then i pulled over and turned off only for it not to turn back on again!!
the wire had snapped because it was too tight in the first place!
i would get this checked asap!

you really need someone to plug in a vagcom or other diagnostic tool to see what the fault code is. Even though the light is now out it will still have the error recorded.
I can do this for you if you can get to Gloucester or Wawickshire but its a hell of a trip just for this simple task. Maybe someone on here who is a bit more local to you can help out with a vagcom?
My own polo had a brake light switch fitted about 4 months ago for the same problem. VW Assistance sorted it for me as it was under warranty.
