Full Weber conversion which was bolted to a 1.3 mk2 which i found in my local scrapyard :shock: :-D
Cost £30 :-o 8-) :-D

Inlet Manifold has been substantially enlarged to near GK level, Which gave me a nice boost of power in the high revs 8-)


Also other items to make my car more pleasing...

The one down in sandwich, zen motor factors i think its called, they usually rip me off for parts but i got lucky with the carb :)

Scrappys can be great,me and my bro pulled a 1990 MK2 Golf out of one (literally!!) just before it got another car dropped on it's roof.It'd been sitting for a while and lost a few bits. Cleaned up like a brand new motor,unbelieveable,an engine mounting wass all we could find wrong with it and it hadn't been on the road in nearly 2 years so needed brake discs back box and accelerator & cltch cables.Through MOT and he did aboutr 10K in it last year,not 1 problem!

Kept it bog standard and drove it for a year,the MOT just ran out and he hasn't put it through again yet.Some git dented the passenger door and drove off then someone tried to break into it so he'd to paint both doors again.Aside from that the bodywork was mint!
