wow this topic took off, but weirdly not on the same lines as the topic title

i'll just say i prefer my car on 16s at 6.5 wide, than i did on 17s with 8.5 wide! i feel it handles better but i'm no expert!

back on topic, heres a couple of pics of my car (sorry they are not the best and its dirty) on standard 16s dropped 70mm at the front and 60mm at the rear!!

just another alternative

Unless decked 18's just look abit out of place on a polo, No offence but they look like there on stilts...

Dino, what are the part numbers for your suspension?

Will they fit on my 1.9tdi?

nice stance you got there!

I feel safer lower and on 17''s than with the thin 14''s, also handles better with the bigger wheels and toyos, then again im lowered so if i was stock suspention, would prob be rubbish :D

As for Carmadaaron - Love ure car mate, im all up for big wheels.

i think ur car looks just rite mate, the 18s don't look out of place at all!!
it mite be because the spokes don't go all the way to the edge of the wheel, or maybe because u have deeper side skirts on there!!

am i rite in thinking that u've had the arches widened or pulled?

theyre perfect, sits nicely with lowering. what offset are your rims? they look like they sit slightly innner than mine.. could just be the camera angle tho.

anything bigger than 16s looks too big without a bodykit imho

+ you can't beat the go-kart handling you get with 16 x 9 rims :D
