well put it this way if a hevily abused transit van can hit 300,000 miles and still run sound then im sure a baby polo will be able to hit around 500,000 miles.

my french heap has done well over 110,000 and thats a 1.8 16v thats been badly abused and its still going!in fact engine is stronger than ever!
am expecting my polo to last least to 200k!

Bad luck mate.... what the hell is going on... Is it BIN/SCRAP YOU POLO MONTH...as more and more people are writing off their cars.
Update: At 64K engine starts no problems with busted radiator & whole front end but the polo is in a coma... If it awakes remains to be seen.

going on for 60,000, was on 55,000 when i got her back in March. Shes running well. though ivce had problems. One driveshafts. Two wheel bearings on the same wheel. Starting to see signs off gearbox or clutch problems arising. My fault though, i should try racing the big cars
Still if it goes it will merely be replaced and improved upon.
