Insurance Question

Post by mysteryboy »

I recently made a mistake of purchasing TPFT as I was planning on selling my car and unfortunatelly managed to crash it. The car is a blatent write of with both chassis legs being bent and the whole front end needs changing, however I still want to get it fixed.
Now its been almost 2 weeks since the crash and insurance isn't telling me anything...
Does anyone know how long it usually takes for them to send through the paperwork?
Also will anyone be coming to inspect the car (in order to decide if its a write off) and to inspect the damage?
I don't want to just sit here waiting for them to get in touch with me as I'd like to start organising to start work on the car.
If anyone knows anything please let me know!

Thanks!!

If no one else was involved, and you're only third party, then they'll basically say "That's your problem" and leave you to it.

Thanks for your reply.

There was another car involved, where does that leave me?

Is it safe for me just to get on with it or do I need to wait for something...? :?

It might sound daft but...... why don't you actually ring your insurers and find out the status of the case with them? :?
