Heater Blower cutting out. Help please

Hello,

I have a 97 polo with aircon.

The blower fan keeps cutting out when running the heater with the air con on.

It only seems to be a problem when the heater is on with the air con running not had the problem with just the heating on or the air con on when dial is set to cold..

If it is left for a while the fan then comes back on on its own.

It suggest to me that something is tripping due to overload.

Anyone had this problem before??

Any ideas as to what the problem is??
