Actually it's normally the off the shelf systems that give you little gain. If say you were having a turbo/supercharger/THB's fitted, youd be better off going to Powerflow as they can taylor a system to your car much better.

But bare in mind some Powerflow depos are excellent, some arnt so good.

An aftermarket one is only good for a car that has minor engine mods such as cams and remapping, as it has been designed for a standard engine only.

Just a quick note to anyone currently looking for a performance exhaust/manifold.

XS performance are hoping to run a group buy (20% off RRP) on Supersprint exhaust items on uk-mkivs, see the following thread: http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/thread/720021.aspx This is based on a MOQ of 5 in total.

There is a system/manifold currently available for the gti. See the Supersprint home page: http://www.supersprint.com/homeuk.htm

i havn't heard very good reports about powerflow thought about getting one after i saw the one on si's gti but then was put off by a thread i read on demonvw forum with lots of people saying theyd had bad experiences.

things like you need the lifetime guarentee because they are always breaking, and lots of reports of the exhaust blowing with leaks in the pipe work!

Like i said there are good places and bad places.

Powerflow do not run these places it's a franchise, so it depends on the quality of work by a particular depot. If its not to a good enough standard when you inspect it, get them to sort it out simple.

I can hardly see how theyre always breaking. People dont half exaggerate on forums. One guy complains he's had problems and all of a sudden no one will touch it with a bargepole and everyone knows a guy who had a bad experience

Find a good place, and you can have a nice solid custom system for about £200.
