Post by Biddy17 »

was driving back from york today, i was going about 90pmph when my car started shaking like a slag... something told me to slow down because i thought it was going to explode or something. anyway... i lost my concentration again and AGAIN started speeding up to about 90mph. the shaking started again... this isnt normal?

your wheels mite need balencing. 1 of the weights could have fallen off or maybe the brake discs could be warped

It will if it's a wheel balancing problem, but only if you get the alloys balanced as well !

it could do if they are balenced properly and thats the problem but there is a number of things it could be. best thing is to take it to a garage and get them to hav a look

think i had the same problem when mine was dropping a cylinder when it was under strain. turned out to be the piston surrounding that had worn.

Were it me, for the sake of ten quid, I'd start with having the fronts balanced before I start filling a mechanics pockets.
